Psaligraphy?

Karen Bit Vejle

Up until I stumbled upon Karen Bit Vejle’s work, I had no idea the art of paper-cutting had a name (although it’s obvious now that I should have known there was a term): psaligraphy. The above image is a closeup of a window display piece commissioned by the world-renowned fashion house, Hermès. The extreme detail and craftsmanship shown in this work resonated with the Parisian fashion house’s equivalent attention to detail. The works are absolutely of the highest quality and stunning even on a screen. View more of  Vejle’s work here.
