Up until I stumbled upon Karen Bit Vejle’s work, I had no idea the art of paper-cutting had a name (although it’s obvious now that I should have known there was a term): psaligraphy. The above image is a closeup of a window display piece commissioned by the world-renowned fashion house, Hermès. The extreme detail and craftsmanship shown in this work resonated with the Parisian fashion house’s equivalent attention to detail.
